Nausea, low abdominal pain, fatigue, dizziness, headache, diarrhoea and vomiting, breast tenderness, bleeding disturbance. If you vomit within 2 hours of taking the tablet, you will have to return to the pharmacy for another tablet. The treatment can affect your next period, even delay it slightly, this is normal.

The pill may be less effective if the individual has a higher weight or BMI
Do not breastfeed for 7 hours after taking the pill.

Continued abdominal pain, faintness, unusual bleeding.
How does it Work?
The morning after pill inhibits ovulation. Therefore prevents fertilisation.
Does it protect me from STDs?
If you are under 16, you can expect us to call you and ask some standard safeguarding questions.
The morning after pill does not usually affect your next period. So you should expect it at the normal time. If your period is late by 4 days, you should do a pregnancy test!
It is recommended that hormonal contraception should not be used for five days after ELLAONE, then (re)started. A barrier contraceptive should be used for a further 7 days (9 for Qlaira) if using combined hormonal contraception, or 48 hours for oral progestogen-only contraception
