Hive has long history of teaching. Pharmacy graduates, FY2 doctors, GP registrars, trainee nurses all learn at Hive Pharmacy. Please remember that we are a learning pharmacy and sometimes you may be served with a student with less experience. Rest assured, there is always a senior pharmacist in store whom you can request any time.

All members of the team undergo regular pharmaceutical learning and can help you with a majority of ailments. We can look after the vast majority of your needs at the counter, whilst our dispensers and graduates can handle more technical medication queries.
We currently have three pharmacists all with excellent communication and consultation skills. Additionally qualified to deliver medicines use reviews, new medicines advice, emergency contraception, chlamydia treatment and flu vaccination, our pharmacists are highly skilled and knowledgeable professionals.
Meet the Superintendent Pharmacist
Sachin qualified with a masters degree from the UCL London School Of Pharmacy, and went on to do a training year at Boots. 6 months later he became a Boots manager. He moved on to manage an independent pharmacy in Billericay, and also won a position for South West Essex Primary Care Trust (PCT) as a Medicines Management Pharmacist. This role included care home medication review and optimisation, practice QOF support, long-term condition clinics such as COPD, reviewing high-risk medicines, and conducting drug switches. Sachins two most notable achievements for the PCT, was sitting on the steering group including the development of Englands first NHS Cardiovascular Screening Programme; and running the regions Swine Flu Treatment Collection Centre, overseeing the supply of hundreds of doses of antiviral medication daily. After this, he moved on to manage ASDA pharmacy Basildon, during which time he continued to do work for the PCT. At ASDA, Sachin became regional lead, responsible for recruitment of pharmacists in the region and improving under-performing stores. Sachin has also worked in both NHS and private hospitals as well as pharmacies up and down the UK. His most recent major achievement was a Post Graduate University course and working with a GP for one year, Sachin qualified as a Pharmacist Independent Prescriber (PIP) in 2009. Sachin bought Hive Pharmacy in 2010, and now enjoys tutoring pharmacy graduates each year. In January 2020 nominated for the role of Primary Care Network pharmacy lead. Having accepted the position, Sachin is involved in collaboration on behalf of other pharmacies with GPs clinical leads to improve public health locally for 40,000 residents in Surrey.
