Whats the difference between the face masks you can buy?
Cloth masks vs Medical masks.
Face masks are either medical grade or simple cloth face coverings. Only masks with FFP grading such as FFP3, FFP2 are proven and certified to protect you from airborne particles and viruses. Other masks such as cloth masks are not standardised or tested and are not certified to any international standards.

Protects against materials and substances of a low concentration.

Provide more protection than FFP1 and protect against higher concentrations. These respirators are being widely recommended and used in the US. These meet WHO guidance.
Offer the highest level of protection from materials and substances at the highest concentrations. They block liquid and solid aerosols.
What is the FFP2 / N95 face mask?
N95 / KN95 / FFP2 face masks are designed to filter out a minimum of 95% of particles. This type of face mask meets the guidance from the World Health Organisation (WHO) for use during pandemics such as Coronavirus.
